Code of Ethics

I work in accordance with the Code of Ethics of the French Federation of Kinesiology.

As a kinesiologist, I commit to:

  • Working with complete respect for the person, regardless of their age, condition, or beliefs.

  • Allowing the client to remain free in their choices.

  • Respecting the confidences shared during the session by applying professional secrecy, except in cases where the law provides for exceptions.

  • Regularly updating my skills and consulting a supervisor whenever necessary.

  • Respecting my colleagues.

  • Maintaining courteous and respectful relationships with other professions.

  • Complying with French legislation.

  • Avoiding any language that might suggest that kinesiology is a form of medicine or a healing practice.

  • Informing the client before using any technique other than kinesiology and obtaining their consent.

  • Not using muscle testing as a tool to reveal or affirm a fact that could be interpreted as a "truth" whose validity cannot be verified, nor to predict the future or determine if a person is telling the truth.

  • Allowing the client the freedom to continue or stop the work at any time, and not imposing the number of sessions or the frequency of appointments.

Kinesiology is not medicine, and it does not establish diagnoses, prognoses, medical prescriptions, or dietary regimens. It does not make medical prescriptions and never asks clients to discontinue medical treatments. We are reminding clients that they should always consult their general practitioner first in case of illness or physical symptoms.

This is based on the code of ethics from the French Federation of Kinesiology.
